"I love this magazine and I get so excited for it when it comes out. I love reading about the other families and youth and it’s really inspiring to see what they’re doing.
"I especially loved entering and winning the August writing contest. Writing is really hard for me, but having a contest to write for made it motivating and fun. I put in lots of time and made my poem as good as I possibly could. Then one day I got an envelope in the mail with a certificate and a check for $100 inside! I won 1st place! I was so excited! I’m definitely going to keep entering the writing contest in the future!"

"We love The Utah Homeschooler! As soon as my eldest saw there were spotlights and a writing contest, she was motivated to write. This was important to me because it gave us a chance to talk about writing for a real-world situation and she could see the importance of grammar and spelling. She is so excited to see her submission in print.
"It's encouraging for our family to see other homeschoolers from around the state. They aren't that different from us and we get good ideas of new things to try and new places to explore.
"Homeschooling is amazing and this magazine is a great resource and motivator for us."
~ Bailee N, homeschooling mom of 5
"My favorite part of the magazine is seeing myself in it. My second favorite part is seeing everyone else in it and seeing what cool stuff they've been doing."

"The Utah Homeschooler is the coolest magazine ever! When it came in the mail, I grabbed it and sat on the couch and read the whole thing in one sitting.
"My favorite part is definitely the Wordsmiths writing contest! I like getting to read what other kids have written and it’s exciting to see what the next writing contest is going to be. I also love reading the Student Spotlights because they give me good ideas of things I want to try. There was one about frosting roses that was so cool, and now I want to learn how to make them too!
"I submitted a Student Spotlight and a book review and they both got printed in the August issue. It was exciting to see myself in the magazine. It made me feel really happy and proud of my accomplishments, and it’s so cool that I get to share them with others."
